On Sunday 16th February, l-Gharb Local Council organised a Carnival event at Pjazza taż-Żjara tal-Madonna. There were spectacular dance shows and Grotesque Masks by various Carnival groups from Gozo and Malta. Batuca Beat Band and Escola de Samba Roma – Rio were also part of the event were they gave unique dances and played music from their culture. A mysterious person was also mingling in the crowd and then the audience participated in a competition to guess who it was. Special thanks to Adrian Formosa who was the mysterious man and congratulations to Ruben Camilleri Cauchi for winning this competition. Free mulled wine, popcorn and prinjolata were also distributed to all those present
