Frangisku Cauchi, known as Cikku tan-Namrat and born in Gharb, sadly passed away on Sunday 12th February at the age of 103.
Frangisku was the son of Guzeppi and Marija Roza Cauchi. He was the 3rd Child of 7 and married Marija nee’ Micallef.
Frangisku and Marija had eleven children, three of whom died at a young age. His eldest son is a missionary priest in Brazil.
Frangisku was grandfather to 15 children, the oldest are Miriam Cauchi, the soprano and Fr. Alex who is also a missionary priest in Brazil. Another grandson Fr. Christopher is a priest in Canada. There are three great grandchildren Clara, Gabriel and Luke.
The funeral mass took place on Tuesday 14th February at 4pm.
The Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Councillors, Executive Secretary and staff of l-Gharb Local Council would like to express their condolences to Cikku’s family. |
