President Eddie Fenech Adami yesterday ended an official two-day visit to Gharb.
The President visited the Folklore Museum and the folkloristic group Tal-Qiegha (threshing floor), the Gharb Rangers Football Nursery and Ghaqda Muzikali Vizitazzjoni during rehearsals.
Dr Fenech Adami called on Grezzja Agius, an elderly woman who is very active in the community and who still makes gbejniet (cheeselets) in the traditional manner using sheep's milk. He urged local councillors to keep working in the interest of the locality and congratulated them for obtaining EU funds for the cleaning and maintenance of the rubble walls at Wied il-Mielah |
