Carnival Competitions

The Gharb Local Council is going to organize the Carnival Activity on Sunday 15th February 2009 at 4pm. Carnival costume competitions are also going to be organised as indicated below:

Category A: Children from Gharb Category B: Children from other localities

Parents are encouraged to enroll their children for these competitions.
Outing in Malta

On Tuesday 23rd September, the Council will be organising an outing to Malta. The outing will include a mass and visits to various places of interest including shopping. The bus will depart from Gharb Square at 6.15am to reach the 6.45am ferry. All those interested in attending are kindly requested to register at the Council by not later next Thursday 18th September, 2008
Applications for Child Minder

The Gharb Local Council invites applications from qualified persons for the services of a child minder to work in the Child Day Care Centre which the Local Council is setting up.

Applicants should be in possession of a child care qualification that includes a practicum and should also have work experience within this sector.

The chosen candidate must speak fluent Maltese and English and should be ready to work according to the demands to be set up by the Council from time to time.

Application letters including a detailed C.V. about the qualifications and experiences should reach the Executive Secretary, Gharb Local Council Office by not later than noon of Tuesday 23rd September, 2008.
